July has had fantastic weather in Bacau and the children of both the Glue Clubs and Summer Schools have enjoyed lots of outdoor and indoor activities!
Last week the children from the Glue Clubs had a fantastic time celebrating St. Elijah. The sun was looking down as they spent a day enjoying craft workshops, folk dances and other ancient traditions.
They had a chance to be hands-on with creating handcrafted mementos, flower crowns and dancing the hora of joy. Such activities not only teach traditions but the importance of preserving cultural heritage!
Thank you for the continued support that contributes to such activities and gives young people an opportunity to play and create.
At the start of the month, Summer Schools started up again much to the joy of the attendees. Joy and enthusiasm were the keywords of the week for the children in Tama Buci commune. Through music and movement, arts and crafts and other workshops they’re able to develop skills and knowledge as well as socialize with one another. These schools are highly anticipated by the children throughout the year, and with your help we’re able to help those less fortunate not only create lasting memories but learn what it is to be a kid!
